What You Need to Know About
Storage Volume and Your Dynamic QR Codes
- What is QR code Storage Volume? It’s how many QR codes you can keep in your account—along with their scan history. Think of it like cloud storage, but for QR codes.
- Can I delete Dynamic QRs to free up space and create new ones? Yes — permanently deleting a Dynamic QR removes it from your storage count, giving you space to add a new one.
- What happens to my Dynamic QRs if I downgrade my plan? Your Dynamic QRs are never automatically deleted. If you downgrade, only the QRs within your new plan's limit will be visible — always your newest ones first. Upgrade again anytime to recover access to all of them instantly.

What happens if I stop paying for my plan?
If you stop paying for your plan, your account will return to the Free Plan at the end of your current billing period, keeping all your Static QR Codes (up to 1,000) and your 5 most recently created Dynamic QR Codes. These QR Codes do not expire. You can delete Dynamic QR Codes and create new ones, as long as you stay within the 5-code limit. Important: If you have more than 5 Dynamic QR Codes, the QR Codes that exceed the Free Plan limit will be hidden from your collection and temporarily inactive. They will not work for your customers until they become visible again.
Can I delete a Google Drive file
linked to a File QR Code?
No. If a Google Drive file is linked to a File QR Code, do not delete it from Google Drive while you want the QR Code to remain functional.
The QR Code relies on that file to display the content when someone scans it. If you delete the file from Google Drive, the QR Code will no longer be able to access it and will stop displaying the file.
Important: Keep all files linked to active QR Codes in Google Drive.
How do I uninstall the
CheapQRcode app?
Once installed, CheapQRcode behaves like any other app on your device. You don’t uninstall it from inside CheapQRcode — you remove it the same way you’d remove any other installed app, from your browser or device.
On a computer (Chrome or Edge):
- Chrome: go to
chrome://apps, right-click the CheapQRcode icon, and choose Remove from Chrome. - Edge: go to
edge://apps, right-click the CheapQRcode icon, and choose Uninstall.
You can also usually right-click the app’s icon directly from your taskbar or desktop and choose the uninstall option from there.
On Android:
- Press and hold the CheapQRcode icon on your home screen or app drawer, then tap Uninstall.
- Or go to Settings > Apps, find CheapQRcode, and tap Uninstall.
On iPhone or iPad:
- Press and hold the CheapQRcode icon on your home screen until a menu appears, then tap Remove App and confirm.
Note: Firefox on desktop doesn’t support installing apps like CheapQRcode at this time, so this doesn’t apply there. Firefox on Android does support it — you can uninstall it the same way as any other Android app.
Uninstalling the app only removes the shortcut from your device — your account, QR Codes, and data stay exactly as they were. You can keep using CheapQRcode from your regular browser at any time.
